What is the best way to start a new year at university? Definitely not by going abroad for 10 days, I said to myself and applied for the first Erasmus+ project “Non-formal plants”. I was worried that I will miss nearly two weeks of University, new group mates. Furthermore, I never flew by plane alone before. I didn’t know what to expect. I went to the unknown. I can clearly remember the first interaction with all participants, everybody trying to get known of each other. However, as I later discovered this was my biggest take away from this YE – the community. New and innovative thoughts in collaboration with all the activities helped me to see various problems from a different perspective. That atmosphere inspired me to travel more and I know this won’t be my last project. I’m truly thankful for this opportunity to NGO innovative generation and my Lithuanian team which became very close to me.
