Karina Butkeviciute told us about her experience in Sakartvelo, where she participated in a training course for youth workers about volunteering:
“All project was a long roller coaster ride. At one moment it seemed that you know what to do next and that everything in the short future will be fine, but sometimes it seemed that you will fall down from exhaustion and too much information.
Anyway, I learned a lot about emotions, how to act with them, had the opportunity to volunteer in the local cafeteria, and spent a nice time with peers.
Also, I had a lot of opportunities to learn about my fears, possibilities, the life of people from other countries (problems and success stories, which are not different from ours at all!). At the end of the project, I felt unity because of the same goals and future project plans we had.”
