Participants of the youth exchange “In the Mirror” decided they want to do festival! Festival? Why not?
The programme was full of things and we were curious if locals will show up. And yes they did! We had Pilates session with Algirdas Papickas who came from Vilnius to share his knowledge with the group and locals and made session simultaneously in English and Lithuanian. Later on, participants prepared Latin dance workshop and both locals and participants joined and had a lot of fun! Some, who wanted to experience traditional tibetian meditation, they went to another room, where Lithuanian participant Gill from India prepared brilliant session with aromas, candles and traditional method. After that, we had running session with Marijonas Radžiūnas who was preparing for the Iron Man competition so he definitely had some things to teach!
Simulteaonously, participants offered for locals henna painting, face painting for kids, also everyone could try indian and british tea, arabic coffee and different snacks from all the participating countries.
After all those activities, final intercultural evening started with an amazing preparation and Lithuanian presentation by Merkinė gymnasium class. They prepared local dances, games and some snacks. After that, each country had their presentation. Such a night and such an experience! Mixture of so many countries, cultures, people, dances and the outcome? Friendships and Unity!
